Utah Valley runs past SAGU American Indian College, 100-54

OREMJustin Harmon matched a season high with 19 points while Aziz Bandaogo recorded his sixth double-double of the season with 15 points and 15 rebounds to lead Utah Valley to a 100-54 win over SAGU American Indian College on Tuesday night at the UCCU Center. 
 
Utah Valley extends its win streak to four games and improves to 7-4 overall on the season. 
 
Utah Valley opened the game with a 4-3 lead and then used a 13-3 run to jump out to a 17-6 lead with 14 minutes remaining in the half. SAGU cut the UVU lead to five points, 23-18, with 10:24 on the clock, but a 28-2 run over the final nine minutes gave the Wolverines a 54-22 lead at the half. UVU did not allow SAGU to score a single point over the final seven minutes of the half.   
 
The Wolverines scored 10 of the first 14 points of the second half to extend their lead to 38 points, 64-26, with 17 minutes on the clock. Cam Alford made a driving layup with 8:25 left on the clock as UVU held onto a 39-point, 82-43. UVU outscored SAGU 18-11 the rest of the way to secure the 100-54 win.
 
Harmon scored his 19 points on 6 of 12 shooting, including a 3 of 6 mark from the three-point line. He also knocked down 4 of 5 shots from the free throw line. Harmon pulled down five rebounds with four assists and one steal.
 
Bandaogo scored his 15 points on a 5 of 8 clip from the floor and a 5 of 7 mark from the free throw line. He also pulled down 15 rebounds with three blocks and a steal.
 
Tim Fuller scored a season-high 13 points on 5 of 6 shooting from the field and a 3 of 4 mark from the charity stripe. He also pulled down six rebounds with two blocks. Cam Alford and Jaden McClanahan were also in double figures with 13 and 10 points, respectively. Ethan Potter pulled down a career-best eight rebounds. Trey Woodbury led UVU with eight assists. 
 
Utah Valley shot 49.3 percent (35-71) from the field, including a 29.0 percent (9-31) mark from long range. UVU held SAGU to a 35.0 percent (21-60) clip from the field with a 25.0 percent (5-20) mark from three.
 
The Wolverines outrebounded SAGU 47-35 and outscored the Warriors 48-22 in the paint. 
 
Utah Valley will continue play at home on Friday, Dec. 16 against Antelope Valley. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and on ESPN 960 AM radio.
