NEW ORLEANS, La. — The Utah Valley University women's cross country team made program history with a No. 27 ranking in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Top 30 preseason poll. It marks the first time the program has received a national ranking. The women are also ranked No. 7 in the Mountain Region Poll with the men coming in a No. 8 in the region. 

The Wolverines will open the 2022 season on Thursday at Lakeside Park in Orem. The women's 5k race will begin at 2:30 p.m. MT with the men's 5k starting at 3 p.m. MT.
