Johnson and Dabb both earn multiple wins on final day in Provo

PROVO, Utah — Aaron Johnson and Larissa Dabb both had big days, and Utah Valley University had several standout performances on Saturday's final day of the BYU Indoor Invitational at the Smith Fieldhouse.

"Overall, the meet went really well," said UVU head coach Scott Houle. "Today we had a lot of really good performances and I'm excited for the progress we're making. Our depth is getting stronger and we're getting faster. We came prepared and got to see everybody in the state, for the most part, and we're excited to see where we stack up in the conference."

A day after winning the long jump, Johnson notched a victory in the 60-meter race and was also part of the 4x400 relay team that took first. Dabb won the 400-meter race and was also on the women's 4x400-winning quartet.

After winning the long jump on Friday, Johnson took first in the 60-meter with a time of 6.75 seconds. The Wolverines took three of the top four spots in the 60 with Caleb Furnell (6.80s) in second and Mikhail Carvalho (6.83s) in fourth. In the men's 400, Cameron Franklin and Seth Dabb finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Franklin ran it in 49.68 seconds while Dabb finished in 49.73.

The men's 4x400 consisting of Cameron Franklin, Jacob Deming, Johnson, and Furnell won the relay in 3:17.56. The women's 4x400 team took first with a time of 3:56.71, with Dabb, Kali McEuen, Hopper, and Becky Swanson running for UVU.

Maysen Rollo was not far off from her own school record in the pole vault, with a height of 3.63 meters. She was seventh in that event.

Geramie Hardaway took sixth (8.41s) in the 60-meter hurdles for the men, while Bonds (8.80s) was fourth on the women's side. Also, in the 60mH, Paige Young took sixth and McCuen finished seventh, just behind Bonds.
