OREM, Utah — Utah Valley continues its homestand with a three-game WAC series against preseason favorite and defending conference champion Grand Canyon this Friday and Saturday at Wolverine Softball Field. The Wolverines and Lopes will square off in a doubleheader on Friday at 4 and 6:30 p.m. MDT, then reconvene for a single game on Saturday at 12 p.m. MDT.
Between games on Friday, UVU Softball and UVU Athletics Marketing will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on the field for all children in 8th grade or younger.

Libbie Hawker had a strong series at the plate, going 6-for-10 with a triple, three RBIs, and five runs scored. Megan Gibbs went 3-for-5 in Saturday's doubleheader with a double and a home run, and drove in six runs. Katie Zuniga picked up a pair of wins on the weekend, one coming in relief and one in a complete game. Zuniga earned the win on Friday by throwing three no-hit innings to keep Utah Valley within striking distance before Britney Moreno hit a walk-off double in the bottom of the seventh. Zuniga then struck out five while allowing four runs in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader.
