OREM, Utah — Utah Valley men's soccer head coach Kyle Beckerman has announced his team's schedule for the upcoming 2023 season, highlighted by an eight-game WAC schedule, three non-conference home games, and a four-game West Coast road swing against tough competition.
The Wolverines will host a pair of exhibition games against regional foes Salt Lake CC and Colorado Mesa on August 12 and 17 respectively. Utah Valley will then host former WAC rival Kansas City to open the regular season on August 24.
Beckerman's squad will then hit the road for a four-game West Coast road trip, starting with a pair of games against NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago. The Wolverines will take on Oregon State on Sept. 1, then head about 90 minutes north to take on defending WCC champions Portland on Sept. 4.
Utah Valley will then close out the road trip with two games in Southern California, against UC Santa Barbara on Sept. 9 and Cal Poly on Sept. 12.
Utah Valley returns home for the final two games of the non-conference slate against Pacific on Sept. 16 and Mercer on Sept. 23.
With the departure of Houston Christian, the WAC drops down to nine teams for the 2023 campaign, meaning each school will play an eight-game round robin schedule.
The Wolverines will play their first three WAC games on the road before returning home for four of the last five. Utah Valley faces Seattle U (Sept. 28), San Jose State (Oct. 1), Utah Tech (Oct. 5), and UNLV (Oct. 15) on the road. Air Force (Oct. 12), UTRGV (Oct. 21), California Baptist (Oct. 26), and Grand Canyon (Oct. 30) will each make the trip to Clyde Field.
UNLV will host this year's WAC Tournament, slated for November 5-11 at Peter Johann Memorial Field in Las Vegas.
