OREM, Utah — The Utah Valley University women's cross country team is ranked No. 24 in the nation in Tuesday's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Poll.
The Wolverines enter the top 30 after sitting just outside the rankings a week ago. UVU last competed on Sept. 16 at UC Riverside, where sophomore
Ari Trimble took first place while leading the Wolverines to a decisive team victory. Utah Valley's women have won the individual and team titles in each of the first two meets this season, with
Morgan Nokes winning the UVU Invitational on Sept. 1.
Tuesday's ranking marks the first time this season the Wolverines have been ranked. Last season's squad reached as high as 16th before finishing 26th at the NCAA Championships and landing there in the final poll. The women also moved up one spot in the Mountain Region poll—to fifth—while the men remained at No. 13 in the region.
