ST. GEORGE—Four Wolverines are in the top-10 and Utah Valley holds the top spot on the team leaderboard after two rounds of play at the Utah Tech Trailblazer Invitational at Green Springs Golf Course in St. George, Utah.
 
Utah Valley shot a second-round score of 6-over-par 294 and is in first place on the nine-team leaderboard with a two-round 22-over-par 598 (304-294). The Wolverines hold a seven-stroke lead over second place Gonzaga (+29) and an eight-shot advantage over third place Cal State Northridge (+30).

"I'm very proud of how the girls composed themselves today," said Utah Valley head coach Juli Erekson. "We were able to gain shots on the field through the difficult holes. They played their own games and what they are capable of. It's a great round to build on."
 
Caylyn Ponich led Utah Valley on Monday with a second-round score of 1-under-par 71. Ponich climbed seven spots up the 54-player leaderboard and is in fifth place with a two-round score of 4-over-par 148 (77-71). Ponich recorded three birdies and 13 pars in her round on Monday.
 
Abbey Porter carded a 1-over-par 73 in round two and is now tied for sixth with a two-round 5-over-par 149 (76-73). Porter had an impressive round that included one birdie and 15 pars. 
 
Chloe Jang shot a 3-over-par 75 in round two and is alone in eighth place with a two-round score of 6-over-par 150 (75-75). Jang had two front-nine birdies in her round on Monday. 
 
Millie Terrion recorded a 3-over-par 75 on Monday and remains in ninth place with a two-round 7-over-par 151 (76-75). Terrion had one front-nine birdie to go along with 13 pars in round two. 
 
Pati Uluave shot a 3-over-par 75 in round two and is tied for 31st with a two-round 16-over-par 160 (85-75). Uluave had a pair of birdies in her round on Monday. 
 
Annabelle Millard and Maria Ortiz are playing in the tournament as individuals. Millard shot a 13-over-par 85 in round two and sits in 50th with a two-round score of 30-over-par 174 (89-85). Ortiz carded a 19-over-par 91 on Monday and is tied for 51st at 31-over-par 175 (84-91).
 
Utah Valley will play the final round of the Utah Tech Trailblazer Invitational on Tuesday at Green Spring Golf Course. The Wolverines will tee off at 10 a.m.. Live scoring will be available at GolfStat.com.
