ST. GEORGE, Utah—Utah Valley shot a final-round 13-over-par 301 in the final round of the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational on Saturday at Sunbrook Golf Course to finish in a tie for third at the event with a three-round score of 43-over-par 907 (303-303-301).
 
The Wolverines finished in a tie for third with Oral Roberts (+43) on the 13-team leaderboard. Boise State won the team title with a three-round 30-over-par 894. 
 
Abbey Porter shot a final-round 1-over-par 73 in the final round to finish in a tie for fifth on the 80-player leaderboard with a three-round score of 6-over-par 222 (75-74-73).Porter carded four birdies in her final round, including three on the back nine.

"It was a solid finish for us this week," said Utah Valley head coach Juli Erekson. "We had another opportunity to compete with some great schools. The girls battled every day. I'm very happy to see Abbey have a great birdie finish and top-five placing. The girls stayed calm and positive. We left some shots out there and need to work on less big numbers for our next event."

Chloe Jang carded a final-round 4-over-par 76 to finish in 16th place with a three-round 9-over 225 (76-73-76). Jang tallied 14 pars in her round on Saturday.
 
Pati Uluave shot a 4-over-par 76 to finish tied for 23rd with a three-round score of 13-over-par 229 (74-79-76). Uluave recorded two birdies on the back nine to go along with 10 pars.
 
Caylyn Ponich shot a 4-over-par 76 to finish in a tie for 30th with a three-round 15-over-par 231 (78-77-76). Ponich had three birdies in her final round.
 
Millie Terrion carded a 5-over-par 77 in her final round on Saturday to finish tied for 54th with a three-round 23-over-par 239 (80-82-77). Terrion had one birdie with 12 pars on Saturday.
 
Maria Ortiz, who played individually, shot a 13-over-par in the final round to tie for 62nd with a 26-over-par 242 (79-78-85).
 
Annabelle Millard shot an 8-over-par 80 on Saturday to finish in 75th place with a three-round score of 38-over-par 254 (85-89-80). 
 
Utah Valley will continue spring play at the Fresno State Classic, March 25-26, at Copper River Country Club in Fresn, California.
