Utah Valley set to compete at the Gaucho Invitational in California

This Week   
The Utah Valley men's golf team travels to The Golden State this week to compete in the Gaucho Invitational, April 8-9, at Sandpiper Golf Club in Goleta, California. 

Tournament Format   
The 12-team field will be participating in a 54-hole tournament to be played at the Sandpiper Golf Club. The event will feature 54 holes over two days with the first two rounds being played on Monday and the final 18-hole round played on Tuesday.

"We're looking to build off the positives we saw last week in Arizona. We're trying to gain momentum as we close out the regular season."

Last Time Out   
Dane Huddleston and Ryan Seamons each finished in a tie for 19th on April 2 with three-round scores of 5-under-par 211 to lead Utah Valley to a tie for 10th place on the team leaderboard at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Arizona. Utah Valley shot a final-round 2-under-par 286 to finish in a tie for 10th on the 23-team leaderboard with a three-round score of 11-under-par 853 (282-285-286). The Wolverines finished ahead of 12 other teams, including in-state foes Weber State, Utah State, and Southern Utah.

Tournament Field   
The 12-team field will include host UC Santa Barbara, Loyola Marymount, Nevada, Santa Clara, UTEP, Utah, Pacific, Denver, Boise State, Incarnate Word, Utah Tech, and Utah Valley.
