ARLINGTON, Texas — Utah Valley graduate runner Morgan Nokes has been named the WAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, the league announced in a release on Monday.

Nokes, a native of Boise, Idaho, won her fourth race of the season on Friday at the Princeton Fall Classic, winning the 6k with a time of 19:27.7. Nokes is believed to be the first female Wolverine to win four races in a regular season and the second overall, joining 2022 All-American Everlyn Kemboi, who won the WAC Championships and the NCAA Mountain Regional to reach four wins that season.

Nokes' win at Princeton is her fifth overall as a Wolverine, and the Runner of the Week award is her third. Nokes earned her first ROTW honor in 2023, and claimed another earlier this season after winning the UVU Invitational.

Nokes and the Wolverines will have a week off before heading to Arlington for the WAC Championships, hosted by UT Arlington at the Harold Patterson Sports Center. The men's race will be at 8 a.m. MT, followed by the women's race at 9.
