ARLINGTON, Texas — Utah Valley's men's and women's cross country teams were both projected to finish second in the WAC Cross Country pre-Championships poll, the league announced in a release on Monday.

On the men's side, the Wolverines are predicted to finish behind No. 17 California Baptist, who have reached as high as No. 15 in this season's USTFCCCA rankings. Utah Valley is led by the duo of Sila Kiplagat and Wyatt Mortenson, who have been the Wolverines' top two finishers in each of the last three meets, including a one-two finish at the Color Country Invitational.

The women's team is also projected to finish second behind California Baptist, who are the lone WAC team to have cracked the others receiving votes in the USTFCCCA poll this year. Utah Valley is led by Morgan Nokes, who has tied a team single-season record with four individual wins so far this season.

The 2025 WAC Cross Country Championships will be held this Friday, Oct. 31 at the Harold Patterson Sports Center in Arlington, Texas. The men's race is scheduled for 8 a.m. MDT, with the women's race starting at 9.
