OREM — Utah Valley head men's golf coach Chris Curran announced the signing of Ammon Allred on Tuesday, adding one of Utah's top rising players to the Wolverines' 2026–2 roster.
Allred, a 6-foot-2 golfer from Snow Canyon High School in St. George, is ranked among the top players in Utah's 4A classification, holding a 69 scoring average and finishing ninth at the 2024 state championship. He is a two-time individual winner at the Green Springs High School Tournament and has served as the No. 1 player for Snow Canyon in each of his first three prep seasons. He owns a USGA +4.4 handicap and has produced several standout results at state, regional, and national junior events.
During the 2024–25 season, Allred won the Notah Begay Utah Local, the Whitaker Junior on the Utah Junior PGA Series, and multiple junior majors across Utah and Nevada. He also earned top finishes on national stages, including a runner-up showing at the FCG Callaway World Championship in Palm Springs, a top-10 finish at the US Kids World Championship at Pinehurst, and several additional top-10 results in elite summer events.
"Ammon is a great athlete and a great kid. He will be a huge asset to our program," said Utah Valley head coach Chris Curran. "He has a tremendous work ethic and an impressive competitive résumé, and we believe his best golf is still ahead of him."
A multi-sport athlete at Snow Canyon, Allred also excelled as a varsity football kicker and competed in soccer as a freshman. Off the course, he carries a 3.98 GPA and has volunteered at the St. George Marathon and the Black Desert Championship PGA Tour event.
Allred plans to major in business at Utah Valley and will arrive in Orem for the 2026-27 season.
