Utah Valley Visits Nevada to Close Out November

OREM, Utah – Utah Valley women's basketball closes out November with a road game at Nevada on Monday, Nov. 24, at 6:30 p.m. MT at the Lawlor Events Center. It will be the first meeting between the two regional foes since 2021, when the Wolf Pack defeated the Wolverines 70-64.

LAST TIME OUT
Utah Valley is coming off a 59-55 victory over Weber State on Thursday night inside the UCCU Center. Cambree Blackham finished with a game-high 17 points, tying the UVU program record for steals in a single game with eight. The Wolverines went 22-for-26 from the free-throw line, which was key in closing out the Wildcats. Tessa Chaney added 15 points, going 7-for-8 from the free-throw line in the win.
 
SCOUTING THE WOLF PACK
Nevada enters the matchup at 3-2 on the season and defeated Alabama A&M 57-52 on Friday night. The Wolf Pack are led by Ahrray Young, who averages 10.8 points per game. Guards Izzy Sullivan and Skylar Durley are second and third in scoring, and freshman Makayla Carter leads the team in rebounding, averaging nearly six per game.
 
SERIES HISTORY AGAINST NEVADA
Utah Valley and Nevada will meet for the seventh time and the fourth time in Reno. The Wolf Pack have won the last two meetings, including the 2021 matchup, a six-point win. Nia Alexander had 15 points to lead Nevada. Maria Carvalho led UVU, finishing 6-for-7 from 3-point range and scoring 26 points.
 
UP NEXT
Utah Valley will have time off before its next game, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. MT inside the UCCU Center against Air Force. It will be the third meeting between the two schools in the last 12 months.
