Hladek, Owens, and Lemay Headline WAC Postseason Awards for Utah Valley

ARLINGTON, Texas—Senior midfielder Ruby Hladek was named Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year, junior defender Mia Owens earned Defensive Player of the Year, and head coach Chris Lemay was selected Coach of the Year as Utah Valley collected three of the league's top postseason awards and six All-WAC selections.

Hladek — Offensive Player of the Year, First Team — led one of the nation's highest-scoring offenses with 14 goals, nine assists and 37 points. She posted a .226 shot percentage and a .532 shots-on-goal rate (33 on frame from 62 attempts), and recorded four game-winners. In conference play, she tallied nine goals and four assists for 22 points.

Owens — Defensive Player of the Year, First Team — anchored a back line that conceded just seven goals in 10 WAC matches and 25 across 19 games overall. She added a goal and two assists and helped the unit produce a 0.70 goals-against average and five shutouts in league play.

Lemay — Coach of the Year — guided Utah Valley to a fourth straight WAC regular-season championship at 9-0-1 and a 13-4-2 overall mark. The clinching win at Abilene Christian was his 100th career victory at UVU. The Wolverines will host the WAC Tournament as the No. 1 seed,.

Faith Webber — First Team — delivered a record-setting year as UVU's leader in goals (19), points (42), shots (126), shots on goal (57) and game-winning goals (7). In WAC play she scored 15 goals with one assist for 31 points, driving an attack that averaged 4.30 goals per match in league action.

Nixan Jackson — First Team — was one of the league's top creators and finished tied for the team lead with nine assists while adding five goals for 19 points. She put 21 of 33 shots on target (.636) and tallied one game-winner; in WAC matches she produced eight assists and three goals for 14 points.

Taylor Nelson — Second Team — started all 19 matches on the back line and chipped in three assists. Defensively, she helped hold opponents to 25 goals and just 98 shots on goal over the season while UVU posted three solo and six combined shutouts.

Tylie Miller — Second Team — provided two-way impact at outside back with one goal and two assists. She featured in all 19 matches, contributed to five WAC shutouts, and scored in the 4-1 win at Abilene Christian.

Marie Quentel — Second Team — provided consistent offensive production up top, finishing with three goals, seven assists, and 13 points across 18 matches. Her seven assists ranked third on the team and among the WAC's top playmakers. She also tallied 12 shots on goal on 22 attempts (.545 SOG%)

Quinn Rustand — All-Freshman Team — appeared in 18 matches in the midfield and added an assist while helping UVU control tempo and possession during a league slate in which the Wolverines led in goals (43), assists (45), points (131), shots per game (28.8) and corner kicks (88).

Utah Valley currently ranks among the national leaders in scoring metrics, including No. 2 in total goals (60), total points (182) and total assists (62); No. 3 in shots on goal per game (10.11) and points per game (9.58); No. 4 in scoring offense (3.16) and assists per game (3.26); No. 5 in shots per game (21.63); and No. 15 in corner kicks per game (6.89). UVU has outscored opponents 60–25 this season and outshot foes 411–195.

Utah Valley opens WAC Tournament play as the No. 1 seed on Wednesday. The team will take on No. 4 Abilene Christian on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at UCCU Stadium. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+. A win would advance UVU to the WAC Tournament championship match, which is set for Saturday at 4 p.m.
