Mason Strong launched his first home run for UVU (1-2) in the contest. UCR (2-1) scored three in the ninth for the win.
"Our pitching staff did everything in their power to put us in a position to win the game. We need to play much better defense behind them to have a chance to win these types of games," said UVU head coach
Nate Rasmussen.

Mason Strong launched his first home run of the season to tie the game up at one. It was the first homer of the year for the UVU as a team and only the second of Strong's collegiate career.
