Utah Valley Concludes Match Play at Great River Cup

GULFPORT, Miss. – The Utah Valley women's golf team wrapped up match play competition at the Great River Cup on Tuesday at Windance Country Club, falling in a close 3-2 match against Memphis.

"We showcased some much better golf today," said Utah Valley head coach Juli Erekson. "Valentina helped the team with a marginal win 6&4. Happy with the length of holes our girls took their matches to. We hope to take a bit of this momentum and prepare for our next event."

Valentina Zuleta delivered Utah Valley's strongest performance of the day, securing a 6&4 victory. Rylie Rodriguez and Chloe Jang battled deep into their matches.

Utah Valley will continue its spring schedule March 7-9 at the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational, hosted by Southern Utah University at Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George, Utah.
