OREM — Utah Valley University women's soccer has announced the addition of Oakley Rasmussen, a transfer midfielder from the University of Florida, to its 2025 roster. A native of Millville, Utah, Rasmussen brings extensive SEC experience and a strong soccer pedigree to the Wolverines.
"We are excited to welcome Oakley to the UVU family," said head coach Chris Lemay. "She's a dynamic midfielder with experience at the highest level of college soccer, and we believe she will be a great addition to our team."
Rasmussen spent four seasons at Florida, appearing in 44 career matches for the Gators. She scored two goals—both on penalty kicks—and recorded three assists while logging over 2,000 minutes on the field.
During the 2024 season, she played in 10 matches, scoring a goal off a penalty kick against Kennesaw State and recording a season-high 55 minutes against Georgia State. In 2023, she made 17 appearances, starting two matches while tallying a goal and an assist. She played a season-high 68 minutes against Missouri. Rasmussen played every match during the 2022 season, starting eight and providing an assist against Tennessee.
A former standout at Ridgeline High School, Rasmussen was named the 2020 Deseret News Utah High School 4A Most Valuable Player after recording 16 goals and 12 assists in her lone high school season. She helped lead Ridgeline to its first-ever state championship, providing two assists in the 3-2 title match victory, including the game-winning assist in the 86th minute.
Her club career featured time with La Roca FC, where she won two Utah State Cup titles (2016, 2020) and competed in multiple U.S. Development Academy Playoffs and DA Showcases. She was a four-year member of the Utah Olympic Development Program and earned ODP Region IV All-Tournament Team honors.

Rasmussen graduated from Florida with a degree in Applied Physiology & Kinesiology and now joins a Utah Valley program that continues to add elite talent as it builds toward the 2025 season.
