NAPA, Calif.—Chloe Jang led the Utah Valley women's golf team with a 3-over-par 75 on Monday in the opening round of the Chevron Silverado Showdown at Silverado Country Club and Resort. The Wolverines sit in 16th place after carding a team score of 29-over-par 317.
Jang recorded one birdie and 13 pars during her round, placing her in a tie for 38th on the 88-player individual leaderboard.
Pati Uluave is tied for 72nd after shooting a 7-over-par 79 on Monday. Uluave posted two birdies and 10 pars in her opening round.
Valentina Zuleta carded a 9-over-par 81, tallying 13 pars on the day, and is tied for 79th.
Millie Terrion and
Maria Ortiz each shot a 10-over-par 82 to end the day tied for 82nd. Terrion registered one birdie and nine pars, while Ortiz finished with two birdies and eight pars.
Northwestern and Cal State Fullerton hold the round one team lead at 1-under-par 287. Fullerton's Kaitlyn Zermeno Smith is the individual round one leader at 6-under-par 66.
