GREENWOOD, Ind. — Two Utah Valley University wrestlers have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team in the College At-Large Division, an honor that recognizes both athletic and academic excellence.

"This recognition reflects the strong academic commitment of both Jack and Terrell, as well as the values of our program," UVU head coach Adam Hall said. "We appreciate the acknowledgment of their hard work in the classroom. We're hopeful their efforts will be recognized at the national level as well."

Terrell Barraclough adds the honor to an already impressive list of accolades, including Big 12 Wrestling Scholar-Athlete of the Year and NWCA Scholar All-American. He is currently enrolled in UVU's MBA program through the Woodbury School of Business after earning his undergraduate degree from Penn State University.

On the mat, Barraclough had one of the most successful seasons in program history, finishing with a 32-4 record and becoming the sixth All-American in school history. The Kaysville, Utah, native recorded 10 wins over ranked opponents, including five against top-10 foes and four against top-five competitors.

Jack Forbes also earned national attention this season, appearing in the rankings for the first time in his career after upsetting No. 23 Harley Andrews of Nebraska in a 5-4 decision in Lincoln. It marked his first career win over a ranked opponent.

A chemistry major, Forbes also earned NWCA Scholar All-American honors, was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Team, and received special recognition for maintaining a perfect GPA in UVU's chemistry program.

This marks the first time either student-athlete has received CSC Academic All-District honors. To be eligible, nominees must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 and compete in at least 70% of team scoring events. Schools are limited in the number of nominations they can submit across at-large sports, which at UVU include men's and women's golf and wrestling.
