Huddleston Named UVU's First Golfweek All-American
OREM — Utah Valley University sophomore
Dane Huddleston has been named to the Golfweek 2025 Men's College Golf All-America Team, becoming the first All-American in program history, as announced Wednesday by the publication.
Huddleston's selection caps off a record-breaking season in which he set a UVU record with five individual titles, was named WAC Golfer of the Year, and tied for fifth at the NCAA Reno Regional—the highest NCAA Regional finish ever by a UVU golfer.
"Dane had a tremendous year. This is a great honor and a testament to his work ethic," said UVU head coach
Chris Curran. "I feel blessed to have been a small part of his journey."
Huddleston finished the 2024–25 campaign with a 69.8 adjusted scoring average and a national ranking of No. 52. He recorded seven top-three finishes on the season and climbed as high as No. 45 in the national rankings. His five tournament wins tied for the fourth-most in a single season in NCAA history and included titles at the Utah Shootout, Kapolei Invitational, Mesquite Desert Classic, Bandon Dunes Championship, and the WAC Championship.
He also earned PING All-West Region honors from the GCAA and narrowly missed advancing to the NCAA Championship, finishing just one stroke behind the qualifying individual at the Reno Regional.
Huddleston was named to Golfweek's All-America Third Team, joining elite players from top programs such as UCLA, Texas, Florida, and Arizona State. His selection marks a milestone moment for Utah Valley's rising golf program.
