OREM, UTAH —The Wolverine Club Golf Classic was held on Wednesday at The Links at Sleepy Ridge in Orem. This year's field featured 133 golfers across 34 teams, with all proceeds benefiting the Utah Valley University student-athlete scholarship fund.
Coaches and student-athletes from UVU's 16 NCAA Division I sports were present, interacting with Wolverine Club members through games, giveaways, tips, and encouragement.
Breakfast was donated by Walmart and Krispy Kreme, lunch was provided by Tucanos, drinks sponsored by Pepsi. Other sponsors included Minky Couture, and Rocky Mountain Power.
The team of Blake Beck, Landon Johnson, Todd Nelson, and Jason White emerged victorious this year with an impressive score of 26-under-par 46 after a second-place finish in last year's tournament.
Second and third place came down to a tiebreaker hole with the team of Tim Lowry, Kurt Merrill, Dave Rogers, and Aaron Smith finishing in second. The defending 2024 champions Diana Anderson, Steve Anderson, Jake Griffin and Ethan Rawlinson finished third.
In the individual contests, Kaylee Westfall won the longest drive contest, Brennan Bastian won the closest to the pin contest.
