SPOKANE, Wash. —
Chloe Jang fired an even-par 72 on Tuesday to tie for fourth at the Kalispel Invitational at Kalispel Golf & Country Club, finishing at even-par 216 (73-71-72). It's the second-best finish of her collegiate career, just shy of her third-place showing at the Eagle Invitational in Spokane as a freshman in 2023.
Jang's closing 72 featured two birdies and 14 pars. She totaled nine birdies over the three rounds.
Utah Valley carded an 11-over-par 299 in the final round to place eighth in the 14-team field at 29-over-par 893 (297-297-299).
"We had it going today," head coach
Juli Erekson said. "I'm proud of the way our group competed this week. They're refining their process and learning to just play golf. Chloe had a great tournament. She's been working really hard and trusted herself this week. It was also fun to see Alyssa and Val make big contributions to our overall performance. We had some great highlights, and we'll head back to the drawing board on what we can sharpen for next week."
Valentina Zuleta posted a 3-over-par 75 to tie for 12th at 5-over-par 221 (72-74-75), with three birdies in the final round.
Alyssa Butterfus closed with a 2-over-par 74 to tie for 29th at 10-over-par 226 (75-77-74).
Pati Uluave shot 78 to tie for 43rd at 14-over-par 230 (77-75-78).
Competing as an individual,
Mia Pace recorded a 79 to tie for 60th at 20-over-par 236 (79-78-79).
Rylie Rodriguez finished with an 80 to tie for 65th at 24-over-par 240 (83-77-80).
Utah Valley continues its fall slate at the Seattle U Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, Sept. 29–30, at Tacoma Country & Golf Club in Tacoma, Washington.
