HOUSTON — Paxton Maxwell led Utah Valley with a two-round 1-under-par 143 (71–72) on Monday at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic at Westwood Golf Club and is tied for 13th heading into Tuesday's final round.

As a team, Utah Valley posted a 16-over-par 592 (295–297) and sits ninth on the 14-team leaderboard.

Maxwell opened with a 1-under 71 that included five birdies and 10 pars, then carded an even-par 72 with four birdies and 10 pars. He is tied for 13th on the 84-player leaderboard.

Isaiah Ellis is tied for 41st at 5-over 149 (74–75), joined by Andrew Hawk, who matched 149 (77–72). Colby Hutchens is tied for 56th at 8-over 152 (73–79), and JJ Tomsick rounds out the lineup at 12-over 156 (78–78).

Tournament host Rice leads at 16-under 561 (277–284), while Houston's Grant Doggett tops the individual standings at 11-under 133 (68–67).
