OREM, Utah — Utah Valley women's basketball renews the Old Hammer Rivalry this week against Utah Tech on Thursday, Feb. 12, at 6 p.m. MT inside Lockhart Arena. The Wolverines dropped an overtime contest Saturday at UT Arlington.
Cambree Blackham led Utah Valley with 19 points, shooting 6-for-12 from the field and 3-for-6 from 3-point range. UVU shot 19-of-22 from the free-throw line, with
Amanda Barcello going a perfect 9-for-9.
Kaylee Headrick recorded the second double-double of her UVU career with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
SCOUTING THE TRAILBLAZERS
The Trailblazers enter the contest with a 6-15 overall record and a 1-10 mark in conference play. They have struggled away from Burns Arena, posting a 0-7 road record this season. Kaylee Borden leads Utah Tech, averaging 14.9 points per game while shooting over 40% from the field in 21 games this season. In their lone contest last week, the Trailblazers fell in double overtime to UT Arlington despite 23 points from Brie Crittendon and 19 from Borden. Point guard Chardonnay Hartley added 12 points.
SERIES HISTORY
The Trailblazers defeated Utah Valley, 65-54, in the first meeting this season in the Old Hammer Rivalry. Borden led Utah Tech with 14 points, while Lauren Crocker added 13 and Hartley finished with 12. Utah Tech hit 11 3-pointers in the game, with Crocker going 4-for-5 from beyond the arc. The Wolverines lead the all-time series 8-5 and have won three of the last four meetings. Utah Valley holds a 5-2 series advantage in Orem.

The Wolverines have a bye Saturday and will return to action Wednesday, Feb. 18, at first-place California Baptist for a 6 p.m. MT tipoff at the Fowler Events Center. UVU will then host UT Arlington for the third and final meeting of the season, Saturday, Feb. 21, at 1 p.m. MT at the UCCU Center.
