LAST TIME OUT
Utah Valley went 4-1 at the Rebel Classic in Las Vegas, with wins over Valpo, Idaho State, UNLV, and Merrimack. The lone loss came in the rematch against Valpo.

The Wolverines posted historic numbers in Vegas, scoring the most runs in any five-game span against D-I opposition in program history at 49. Megan Sterzer led that charge at the dish, going 8-for-13 with a HR, double, four walks, eight RBIs, and seven runs scored. Sterzer was named the D1Softball Mid-Major Freshman of the Week on Tuesday for her efforts.

The Wolverines have been putting up unprecedented numbers all season long, with the most runs (111), hits (146), doubles (26), and HRs (15) through 15 games in program history. The team also has its best batting average (.360), on-base percentage (.446), and slugging percentage (.564).

Setting the tone has been quartet of seniors, Britney Moreno, Angelique Mann, Emma Haygood, and Bailey Marvin, all of whom are hitting .400 or better so far this campaign.

Out of the leadoff spot, Moreno has posted the most hits (25) to this point in a season in program history and ranks 13th in the nation in that category, while also ranking 25th in SBs (9). Moreno enters the weekend on a 14-game reached base streak and an 8-game hitting streak.

Haygood has brought the boom out of the three-spot, with a team-high five HRs and 17 RBIs. Haygood's five HRs are the most to this point since 2022, and her RBI total is the most since 2019.

Mann's provided a punch with her gap-to-gap power, leading the WAC in doubles with seven and ranking 12th nationally. Mann is also 2nd on the team in hits with 20 and t-3rd with 12 RBIs. Marvin has been a breakout star in the cleanup spot, batting .400 with two HRs, three doubles, and 10 RBIs.

RHP Lily Riley dominated in Vegas, tossing 16.1 IP with 17 K's, 3 ER allowed, and 2 CGs for an overall record of 3-0.

SERIES HISTORY VS THE OPPOSITION
UTAH STATE -
The Aggies have won three in a row and five of the last six in the series dating back to 2021. The two teams played a rollercoaster game up in Logan last season that saw USU rally from a 3-0 and 8-4 deficit to walk off the Wolverines 9-8. Utah Valley's last win in the series came in 2022, a 3-2 walk-off win in Orem.

WEBER STATE - The two sides have played every year except for one since WSU reinstated its softball program in 2010. The Wildcats swept the two-game season series in 2025, and dating back to 2020, neither side has won more than two games in a row against each other. UVU won the season series 2-1 in 2024.

UTAH - The last time these in-state rivals met in 2023, UVU assistant coach Haley Brown was the leadoff batter for the No. 18 Utes in a 9-0 win over the Wolverines in Orem. Those Utes went on to win the PAC-12 Tournament Title and advance to the WCWS. Utah Valley's last win over the Utes came in 2019, a 5-2 victory in Salt Lake City. After playing at least once every year from 2004-2014, the two teams have only played five times since.

THESE CHICKS DIG THE LONG BALL
Through 15 games, Utah Valley has set its program record for HRs to start the season with 15. That total is the second-best in the WAC behind only UTA's 16, and is 59th in the nation.

VERY NICE, THANK YOU FOR THE SACRIFICE
Utah Valley leads the WAC and ranks 23rd in the nation in sacrifice flies with seven so far this season. Three of those sac flies came in one game, against Idaho State.

THE HITS START COMIN' AND THEY DON'T STOP COMIN'
Against Merrimack on Saturday, Utah Valley rallied for nine runs to secure a 9-0 run-rule win in five innings. Through 15 games, the Wolverines have had 15 innings in which the team scored three or more runs.

UP NEXT
Utah Valley will head to Northern California for a five-game road trip. The Wolverines will play a three-game series against former associate head coach Sam Kukuk and the Pacific Tigers, then play midweeks against UC Davis and Sacramento State. This will be Utah Valley's final road trip before opening the home season with a six-game homestand on March 17.
