2/26/2026 5:13:00 PM

Utah Valley heads to Spokane, Wash., this weekend for the 2026 WAC Indoor Championships at The Podium on Friday and Saturday as the Wolverine women aim to defend their title and the men's squad looks to claim its first indoor title since 2015 after narrowly missing out last season.

The morning sessions on both days will be streamed for free on WAC International, with the evening sessions airing on ESPN+. Both days of action will kick off at 10 a.m. MST, and live results will be posted at athletictiming.net.

CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW
Utah Valley has been projected to win both team titles in Spokane in the pre-championship coaches' poll, with the Wolverines picked as favorites on the men's side and co-favorites on the women's side along with Tarleton State.

Entering the championships, Utah Valley has the top marks in 10 events between both squads so far this season, with another 17 Wolverines ranking in the top three on the conference's performance list entering the championships.

Among the league-leaders on the men's side is senior sprinter Kade Thompson, who enters the WAC Championships as the frontrunner in both the 60m and 200m. Utah Valley also holds a decisive edge in the mile, with five of the six best times in the league this season, as well as the 3k and the 5k, with the top marks in each and the lion's share of the top five in both.

On the women's side, Utah Valley has a solid advantage in the distance events, with the top times in the mile, 3k, and 5k. Reagan Doman has the top time in the mile, while the Wolverines have the top three in both the 3k and 5k, led by Morgan Nokes in each.

A trio of former WAC champions will look to retain or reclaim their titles this weekend. Ella Hopper will look to defend her crown in the 400m, while former WAC champions Neal Berkey (heptathlon) and Nokes (3000m and 5000m) will also look to return to the top after missing last year's championships.
