OREM, Utah — The Big 12 released the brackets for this week's Big 12 Wrestling Championships at the BOK Center in Tulsa and six Utah Valley University wrestlers will face rematches in their opening round bouts on Friday.

The two-day championship will be contested this Friday and Saturday and air live on ESPN+. Session One and Two are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT, respectively on Friday, March 6. Saturday's matches will begin at Noon CT before the Championship Finals commence at 7 p.m. CT.

Haiden Drury (141) and David Evans (149) are both three seeds while Jack Forbes is the No. 6 seed at 285 pounds. Forbes will wrestle South Dakota State's Luke Rasmussen in the opening round in the rubber match between the two this season. Rasmussen defeated Forbes in Las Vegas, but Forbes got the win in the dual between the teams. Rasmussen is 2-1 all-time against Forbes in their careers.  

Other rematches from earlier this season include Geronimo Rivera against No. 7 Gage Walker of Missouri; Mark Takara vs Cael Swensen (SDSU); Zyon Trujillo vs No. 8 Marcus Espinoza-Owens (SDSU); Hudson Rogers vs No. 3 Cam Steed (MIZ); and Caleb Uhlenhopp vs No. 3 Eddie Neitenbach (WYO).

Drury received a bye in the opening round and will face the winner of Joel Aguilar-Guerrero (UNC) and No. 6 Tyler Wells (Oklahoma). Drury earned a tech fall over Aguilar-Guerrero in the dual against Northern Colorado and a 2-0 decision against Wells at the Cliff Keen in Las Vegas. 

The remaining first-round match ups are against Oklahoma State wrestlers. Bridger Ricks will face top seed Troy Spratley at 125 pounds and Kael Bennie will wrestle No. 3 Cody Merrill at 197 pounds.
