The Utah Valley University women's golf team continues its spring season this week at the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational, March 6-8, at Sunbrook Golf Club in St. George, Utah. The three-day tournament is hosted by Southern Utah and features a 10-team field competing over 54 holes.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational will be contested over three days in stroke play format. Teams will play 18 holes each day from March 6-8 with shotgun starts scheduled each morning. Friday's opening round is currently scheduled for a 9:00 a.m. MT shotgun start due to potential frost delays. The tournament will follow a play-five, score-four format.

TOURNAMENT FIELD
The field includes Southern Utah, Idaho State, Stetson, Weber State, Loyola Chicago, Utah Tech, Omaha, Wyoming, Westminster, and Utah Valley.

COURSE INFORMATION
Sunbrook Golf Club will serve as the host venue. The tournament will be played across the Pointe and Blackrock courses at the St. George layout, which measures 5,914 yards and plays to a par 72.

LAST TIME OUT
Utah Valley last competed at the West Texas Classic in Abilene, Texas, where Chloe Jang finished alone in second place on the 88-player leaderboard with a three-round score of 2-over-par 212 (77-64-71). Jang's runner-up finish marked the highest finish of her collegiate career and her third top-five finish of the season.

LOOKING AHEAD
Utah Valley will continue its spring schedule at the Bobcat Desert Classic, set for Apr. 13-15 at Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, Arizona. The tournament will be hosted by Montana State.
