MARICOPA, Ariz.—Colby Hutchens recorded a top-20 finish to lead the Utah Valley University men's golf team at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, which concluded Wednesday at Southern Dunes Golf Club.

Utah Valley finished 17th on the 25-team leaderboard with a three-round total of 17-over-par 881 (284-298-299). Southern California won the team title at 26-under-par, finishing ahead of Arkansas State and Grand Canyon.

Hutchens paced the Wolverines with a three-round score of 3-under-par 213 (69-72-72) to tie for 20th on the individual leaderboard. His opening-round 3-under 69 marked one of the top rounds of the tournament for UVU.

Ty Brady finished tied for 77th with a three-round total of 6-over-par 222 (69-75-78).

Paxton Maxwell carded an 8-over-par 224 (73-76-75) to finish tied for 84th, while Andrew Hawk finished tied for 104th at 12-over-par 228 (73-75-80).

Elliot Bond rounded out the lineup with a 21-over-par 237 (78-82-77).

The two-day tournament concluded Wednesday after teams completed the suspended second round Tuesday morning before playing the final 18 holes.

Utah Valley will next compete at the Arkansas State Spring Invitational April 13-14 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, as a final tune-up before the Western Athletic Conference Championship.
