OREM, Utah — Utah Valley University wrestling and the Brunson Utah Valley RTC will be well-represented at this week's U.S. Open in Las Vegas with 14 individuals attached to the program and club set to compete. The event is being held at The Expo at World Market Center in Las Vegas.

In the Senior Men's Freestyle division, current assistant coach Ed Scott and Wolverine All-American Terrell Barraclough will be joined by David Evans, who just finished his senior season, and 2025-26 redshirt Layne Kleimann. Scott and Barraclough are also representing Titan Mercury Wrestling Club (TMWC).

Scott (70kg) received the No. 6 seed in the pre-seeds that were released on Tuesday while Barraclough was seeded seventh at 74kg. Evans is competing at 65kg and Kleimann is wrestling at 61kg. The Senior Men's Freestyle competition runs Friday and Saturday.

Six current Wolverines are also competing in the U20 Freestyle, which begins on Saturday and concludes Sunday. Talen Eck (57kg), Jake Castagneto (65kg), Ian Fritz (70kg), Keegan Goeas (74kg), Zyon Trujillo (74kg), and Matt King (92kg) are entered and competing for Brunson UVRTC.

2020 NWCA All-American for Utah Valley, Tate Orndorff, is competing in the Senior Men's Greco division and earned the No. 3 seed with that competition taking place on Friday and Saturday. Former Wolverine Dylan Gregorson is the No. 4 seed at 67kg.

On the women's side, Jenny Thompson (50kg) and Lauren (Mason) Stoker (59kg) are slated to compete in the Senior Women's Freestyle which begins Thursday and concludes on Friday. Stoker is also representing TMWC.
