Five Utah Valley University wrestlers were honored by the College Sports Communicators with their inclusion on the 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District At-Large Teams, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Haiden Drury,
Jack Forbes,
Bridger Ricks,
Hudson Rogers, and
Mark Takara were all named to the team after their success both on the mat and in the classroom. It marks the second straight season that Forbes, a chemistry major, has received the accolade as he's the first Wolverine to receive multiple honors with College Sports Communicators.Â
Forbes was also an NWCA Scholar All-American for the second straight time in a year the program set a record with nine Scholar All-Americans. Drury, Ricks, Rogers, and Takara also joined Forbes on both the NWCA Scholar All-America Team and the Big 12 Winter All-Academic Team.
The five honorees are a program record and more than doubles the all-time previous recipients, which totaled three. Seven of the eight to receive earn the recognition have come in the past two seasons. To be eligible, nominees must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 and compete in at least 70% of team scoring events. Schools are limited in the number of nominations they can submit across at-large sports, which at UVU include men's and women's golf and wrestling.
