Junior (2017): Named to Academic All-WAC team ... Friday night starter.. Started 15 games.. First among starters with a 5.09 ERA.. Second on the team with 81 innings pitched.. Struck out 56 batters to 33 walks.. Lowered ERA to a 4.20 in WAC play.. Pitched 7.1 innings allowing one run and striking out five in an extra inning win at Creighton.. Struck out 7 in 6.1 innings at Northern Colorado.. Pitched 3 innings in the WAC tournament.

Sophomore (2016): Named to Academic All-WAC team for second straight season ... was 6-5 with a 3.79 ERA in 14 appearances (all starts) ... struck out 53 batters in 76.0 innings pitched ... went 4-1 with a 2.97 ERA during seven WAC starts ... earned a win during the opening weekend over No. 5 Oregon State, allowing two runs on five hits ... took a loss at UC Davis on Feb. 27 despite not allowing an earned run on three hits while striking out seven in 7.0 innings of work ... over his last six starts, went 4-2 with a 1.69 ERA ... earned a win in the WAC Tournament vs New Mexico State after pitching 7.1 innings and allowing one run while striking out a season-high eight ... made a start in the Baton Rouge Regional against Southeastern Louisiana and lasted 7.1 innings and allowed two earned runs on four hits with five strikeouts. Through first two WAC Tournament appearances is 1-0 with a 0.69 ERA and 11 strikeouts in 14.2 innings.

Freshman (2015): Academic All-WAC selection ... went 1-5 with a 4.50 ERA ... made 13 appearances and threw 62.0 innings, striking out 35 hitters ... earned his first win at North Dakota (May 9) allowing no earned runs with four strikeouts ... had a season high nine strikeouts against San Francisco (March 1).

Before Utah Valley ...
Prepped at Coronado High School in Henderson, Nevada ... led team to 2013 Nevada State Championship ... named a scholar athlete ... was part of a team that won 2013 Sunrise Region Championship ... helped team to Sunrise Region Championship and second place finish at state championship in 2012 ... also played football at Coronado.

Personal ...
Son of Lisa and Mike Cofer ... born in Indianapolis ... major is Science Aviation ... participated in Best Buddies program and Cougar Buddies program and was a volunteer at Opportunity Village ... his dad was a place kicker for the San Francisco 49ers and is a two-time Super Bowl Champion.
