At Utah Valley...

Senior (2019): Earned WAC Cross Country Athlete of the Year honors for the second straight season after repeating at the 2019 WAC XC Championship ... received first team All-WAC honors for the third consecutive season after winning the 2019 WAC Championship with a blazing time of 24:48.8 over the 8K course ... recorded four top-five finishes on the season and was UVU's top finished in four of the five meets he competed in on the year ... also won the Santa Clara Bronco Invite with a time of 23:42.3 (8K), and took third at the UC Riverside Invitational (24:14.9 - 8K) and fourth at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite (24:18.7 - 5M) ... capped his stellar senior season with a 53rd place showing at the NCAA Mountain Regional (31:59.5 - 10K) ... earned Academic All-WAC accolades. 

Junior (2018): Named the WAC Men’s Athlete of the Year … received first team all-WAC honors after winning the 2018 WAC XC Championship with a 24:02.1 time for the 8K ... Kicked off his junior year by coming in first at the UCR 38^th Annual Cross Country Invitational … clocked in a personal best in the 5M with 24:31.2 … … participated in the NCAA Division I Mountain Region Cross Country Championship and placed 68^th overall with 31:31.1, a personal best … named the WAC Men’s Athlete of the Year … received first team all-WAC honor … was named to the 2018 Academic All-WAC honors.

Sophomore (2017): Enjoyed a breakout sophomore season for the Wolverines with top-10 finishes in four regular season races… earned All-WAC first team honors for first time in career with third-place finish at the 2017 WAC Cross Country Championships…. placed second with a personal record in the 6K (18:33.4) at UNLV to help UVU record a perfect-score victory... was the second Wolverine to cross the finish line at the NCAA Mountain Regionals with 30th-place finish in his 10K debut.. finished eighth in the 8K at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational with a personal record of 23:51.8… took ninth in the 6K at the SUU Color Country Invite…  notched a seventh-place finish in the 8K at UC Riverside… named Walk-On of the Year at the 2018 Wolverine Club Athletic Awards... Academic All-WAC.

Freshman (2016): Logged a time of 27:27.3 at the 2016 WAC Championships to place 43rd overall in squad’s runner-up finish… finished the 8K at the Indiana State Pre-National Invitational with a time of 27:08.8… placed 36th at the SUU Color Country Invitational with a time of 20:06.9 in the 6K… recorded a time of 26:31.6 to finish 122nd in program’s first-ever victory at the Notre Dame Invitational in the five-mile Gold Race … placed 34th (22:52.9) in the 7K in season opener at the Utah State Sagebrush Invitational.

Before Utah Valley…
Lettered in cross country all four years at Hillcrest High School… a state qualifier every year of his career… UHSAA second-team all-state… voted Hillcrest Athlete of the Year.
 
Personal
Son of Jeff and Suzanne Lynch… has three brothers, Tyler, Jason and Peter, and a sister, Nicole… earned an associate’s degree at Salt Lake Community College… majoring in exercise science… wants to become a dentist… served a two-year LDS church mission in Louisville, Ky.
