In August 2023, Colin Konicek joined the program as the Director of Baseball Operations. In this role, Konicek will oversee the daily operations of the program.
Konicek comes to UVU after graduating from Cornell College in 2023. During his time at Cornell, Konicek was a two-year starter at the catcher position for the Rams. In his senior year, Konicek led the Midwest Conference in caught stealing percentage.
Konicek has coached high school baseball in Iowa for two seasons. His first coaching experience was at Mount Vernon High School in 2022. Most recently, Konicek worked as a Varsity Assistant Coach for Pleasant Valley High School, where the Spartans were champions of the Mississippi Athletic Conference for the 2023 season.
