PORTLAND, Ore. - Utah Valley University's wrestling team evened its season record at 2-2 as they beat both Portland State and Simon Fraser in convincing fashion, 32-7 and 49-6 respectively, Thursday evening.

Portland State is an improved team but we came out with much more aggressiveness and managed to only lose three total matches in the double-dual overall (one via forfeit)."
The action included three simultaneous duals going on at once as UVU went against PSU and SFU at the as the Vikings also grappled against the Clan at the same time. In the other dual on the night Portland State downed Simon Fraser 31-9.

Fager also controlled his other match of the night as he held the Vikings' Keena Washington scoreless and won via technical fall 15-0. Fager upped his season record to 9-4.
Redshirt freshman Brad Darrington (174) also had a big night for UVU as he was very well controlled in both of his matches.
