OREM—Utah Valley head women's soccer coach
Chris Lemay has announced that Gonzaga goalkeeper Isabel Jones-Dawe has transferred to Utah Valley and will play for the Wolverines this upcoming season.

"Isabel is a really talented goalkeeper and she is an even better person," said Lemay. "She will make an impact on our team immediately in a number of different ways. She is a strong leader with a lot of experience. She is a great shot blocker and can distribute well out of her hands with her feet. Izzy fits into our team culture with her competitiveness, personal accountability and desire to be the best she can be for herself, and more importantly the program. UVU women's soccer just got better today."

Jones-Dawe played and started 18 matches for Gonzaga during her redshirt junior year last season. She recorded 1,132 minutes in the box, tallying an impressive 44 saves on the year. She was named WCC Player of the Week on Sept. 9 after recording seven saves in a match against nationally-ranked Washington State. She registered six shutouts last season and registered a .710 save percentage. In her three seasons at Gonzaga, Jones-Dawe played in 53 matches and started 38. She tallied 22 wins, 159 saves, and 16 shutouts.

The Sandy, Utah native played for Alta High School where she was an All-State performer in 2014 and 2015. She led AHS to the state quarterfinals in 2015. With five shutouts during her senior season and 15 for her career, Jones-Dawe was ranked as the No. 12 recruit in the state of Utah by Max Preps. She led the state in Class 5A in saves in 2015.

Jones-Dawe was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year and was named to three straight First Team ODP spots while helping the Utah Avalanche reach the ECNL National Finals. She was a three-year captain for the Avalanche and was selected as a member of the ECNL PDP national pool in 2015 and 2016.

Jones-Dawe has already enrolled at UVU and is will be playing with the team this spring in preparation for the 2020 season. She has one season of eligibility remaining.
