ERIE, Colorado—Brady McKinlay is tied for first place in the 92-player field at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational before play was suspended midway through round two at Boulder Country Club in Erie, Colorado due to lightning and rain in the area. UVU sits in sixth place in the 16-team field.
 
Utah Valley shot a 4-over-par 284 in round one and sits at even par in round two. The Wolverines are in sixth place ahead of 10 other teams. Wyoming and Rice are in a tie for first place at 7-under-par. 
 
McKinlay is tied for first after carding a 1-under-par 69 in round one and a 3-under-par 32 through nine holes of play in round two. The junior is currently at 4-under-par 101 and is tied with three other golfers for the day one lead. McKinlay eagled the 585-yard par-5 second hole in round one and birdied three other holes for his 1-under-par 69. He had birdied four of the nine holes he had played in round two before play was suspended. 
 
Landon Anderson is tied for 31st after carding an even par in round one. He sat at 2-over-par 37 through nine holes in round two. Anderson carded four birdies in round one, including three on the back nine. 
 
Andrew Hawk carded a 2-over-par 72 in round one as he eagled the par-5 second hole and birdied two other holes on the front nine. He was 1-over-par 32 through eight holes in round two and is tied for 41st at 3-over-par. 
 
Ryan Seamons shot a 3-over-par 73 in round one with a pair of birdies. He sits at 2-over-par through eight holes in round two and is tied for 57th at 5-over-par. Joseph Glenn carded an 8-over-par 78 in round one and was at even par through nine holes in round two. Glenn is tied for 79th at 8-over-par.
