UTAH VALLEY TRAVELS TO THE EMERALD CITY TO TAKE ON WAC RIVAL SEATTLE U
Utah Valley continues Western Athletic Conference play this week on the road as the team travels to the Emerald City to take on rival Seattle U on Saturday night. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. MT
The Wolverines head into this week's match against Seattle U (5-5-2, 2-1-1) after picking up a pair of come-from-behind WAC wins last week. Faith Webber recorded Utah Valley's first hat trick since 2018 and led the Wolverines back from a 0-3 second half deficit to defeat California Baptist, 4-3, at Clyde Field. Webber's three goals included the game winner in the 84th minute, capping off the comeback victory. The three goals came in a 25-minute span in the second half (50', 69', 84'). Hannah Lee also recorded a goal as she tallied the equalizer in the 70th minute.
Utah Valley also picked up a 2-1 comeback win at Grand Canyon on Sunday. After trailing 1-0 at the half, Webber scored the equalizer in the 54th minute to tie the game, 1-1. The Wolverines then took the lead in the 88th minute with Julianna Carter scoring the game winner.
Utah Valley has scored 26 goals this season with Webber leading the team with six goals. Heather Stainbrook and Carter have each scored five goals, while Nicole Ray and Sydney Bushman each have three. Lee and Isabella Steward have to goals apiece. Webber and Lee front the team in assists with five each. Stainbrook and Carter each have four assists. Webber leads the team in points with 17, followed by Stainbrook and Carter with 14 apiece. Webber also fronts the team in shots (50) and shots on goal (27). The Utah Valley defense has three shutouts this season with Idalia Serrano in goal for two of them. Leah Wolf and Serrano also have a combined shutout. Serrano leads UVU with 27 saves with nearly 800 minutes played.

Seattle U enters the week with a 5-5-2 overall record and a 2-1-1 mark in WAC play. The Redhawks have won three of their last five matches, including a 1-0 win at Grand Canyon on Sept. 30. The team has played its last four matches on the road and return home for the first time since the Redhawks defeated Evergreen State, 7-0, on Sept. 11. All four of SU's WAC games have been on the road. SU holds a 2-1-1 record at home this season. Brooke Wilson leads the Redhawks in scoring with four goals. Jolie St Louis has three goals, while three others have two. Ten different Redhawks have scored a goal this season. Kaylee Coatney leads the team with 21 shots, including a team-best eight on frame. Jessica Berlin leads the team in the box with a 1.22 goals against average and 36 saves. Berlin has three shutouts and one combined clean sheet.
SERIES HISTORY VS. SEATTLE U
Utah Valley and Seattle U will meet on the pitch for the 25th time on Saturday night. Seattle U holds an all-time 15-5-4 advantage in the series. However, Utah Valley has won three of the last five meetings between the two teams and currently have a five-match unbeaten streak against the Redhawks. UVU's last loss to SU was a 2-1 overtime setback in the championship match of the 2019 WAC Tournament on Nov. 10, 2019 in Seattle, which was also the last time the two teams played in Seattle. UVU has never beaten the Redhawks in Seattle, holding an all-time 0-9-1 record in the Emerald City.
FAITH WEBBER NAMED WAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Utah Valley sophomore forward Faith Webber has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending on Monday, Oct. 3.
Webber scored three second-half goals, including the game winner to help Utah Valley erase a 3-0 second half deficit to come back and defeat California Baptist, 4-3. Webber became just the seventh player in UVU history to record a hat trick. It marked the first hat trick for UVU since the 2018 season.
The Grand Blanc, Michigan native also scored the equalizer after Utah Valley fell behind 1-0 at Grand Canyon to help the Wolverines come back and defeat the 'Lopes 2-1 on the road.
On the week, Webber had four goals, eight points, 14 shots, 11 shots on goal, and one game winner as UVU went a perfect 2-0 in WAC play last week.
UTAH VALLEY MOVES UP TWO SPOTS TO NO. 6 IN LATEST UNITED SOCCER COACHES PACIFIC REGION TOP-10 POLL
Utah Valley moved up two spots to No. 6 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Pacific Region Top-10 Poll released on Monday. The Wolverines have spent seven straight weeks in the poll.
After debuting at No. 10 in the week one poll, Utah Valley has since moved up four spots to No. 6 in the latest poll. The Wolverines are the only WAC team and the only non-Pac-12 team in the poll. The Pacific region consists of teams from the Mountain West Conference, Pac-12, and WAC.

UTAH VALLEY PLAYS RECORD FOUR NATIONALLY-RANKED TEAMS IN NON-CONFERENCE PLAY
Utah Valley has played a school-record four nationally-ranked teams this season. The Wolverines have come out of those four games with a 1-2-1 record with 0-0 tie against No. 23 UCF, a 4-1 loss to No. 18 Alabama, a 4-2 win at No. 13 BYU, and a 2-1 setback at No. 24 Portland.
