Utah Valley receiving votes in United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll

KANSAS CITY—The Utah Valley women's soccer team is once again receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 national poll released on Tuesday.  
 
It marks only the third time in program history that the Wolverines have received votes in the top 25. UVU received votes in the top 25 poll for the first time in UVU history last season and again this year on Oct. 10. 
 
The Wolverines received two points in the poll and is one of only six teams among others receiving votes. 
 
Utah Valley has played three teams that are currently ranked in the top 25 and holds a 1-2-0 record in those three matches. UVU dropped matches to Clemson (No. 7) and BYU (No. 8) before picking up a 3-2 win over USC (No. 23) on the road.
 
UVU is one of the top scoring teams in the nation this season as the squad ranks fourth in the country with 53 goals scored. UVU also ranks fourth in the country with 158 points. Utah Valley's Faith Webber ranks fourth nationally in scoring with 16 goals. The 16 goals breaks her own UVU program record for goals scored in a single season. Webber also ranks fourth nationally in goals per game at 0.89 per match. 
 
Utah Valley secured its second straight outright WAC regular season title this past week with a pair of shutout wins over in-state WAC foes Utah Tech and Southern Utah. UVU has won two straight outright WAC championships and has claimed three of the last four WAC regular season titles. Utah Valley finished WAC play with a 7-0-2 record and outscored its WAC opponents 35-3 during league play this season. The Wolverines are on a school-record 12 match unbeaten streak.
 
The Wolverines are currently ranked No. 4 in the United Soccer Coaches Pacific Regional Top 10 poll—the highest regional ranking in program history. 
 
Utah Valley now preps for the upcoming WAC Tournament at California Baptist next week in Riverside, California. The Wolverines own the top seed and will take on the winner of the first-round match between No. 4 Grand Canyon and No. 5 Utah Tech. UVU will play on Wednesday, Nov. 1 in the semifinals of the tournament.The WAC Tournament games will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
