ST. GEORGE, Utah—Leighton Shosted led Utah Valley with an even par 72 on Friday in the second round of the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational and is now tied for third with a two-round score of 1-over-par 145 (73-72). 
 
Utah Valley carded a second-round score of 16-over-par 598 and is in ninth place on the 16-team leaderboard at 33-over-par 609 (305-304). UVU sits ahead of seven other teams on the leaderboard heading into Saturday's final round.
 
Shosted's even par 72 on Friday moved her six spots up the individual leaderboard from ninth place into a tie for third on the 95-player leaderboard. Shosted carded four birdies in round two on Friday, including three on the back nine. 
 
Abbey Porter shot a 3-over-par 75 and moved up three spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 27th with a two-round score of 7-over-par 151 (76-75). Porter had one birdie on the back nine on Friday. 
 
Caylyn Ponich shot a 6-over-par 78 in round two and is now tied for 42nd with a two-round 11-over-par 155 (77-78). Annabelle Millard carded a 9-over-par 81 on Friday and is tied for 70th at 16-over-par 160 (79-81). Patie Uluave shot a 7-over-par 79 in round two and moved up four and is now tied for 75th with a two-round score of 18-over-par 162 (83-79).
 
Jacklyn Gonzalez and Millie Terrion are playing as individuals at the tournament. Gonzalez shot an 11-over-par 83 and is tied for 85th with a two-round score of 22-over-par 166 (83-83). Terrion also carded an 11-over-par 83 in round two and is also tied for the 85th spot at 22-over-par 166 (83-83).
 
Utah Valley will play the final round of the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational on Saturday morning. The Wolverines will tee off in the final round at 9 a.m. Live scoring will be available at GolfStat.com.
