OREM, Utah – Utah Valley will wrap up the home stand with Grand Canyon for a key WAC series this weekend at UCCU Ballpark. The Wolverines will open the series on Friday, Mar. 31, with a 6:05 p.m. MT start. The series continues with a game on Saturday, Apr. 1, with a 2:05 p.m. MT first pitch. The series wraps up with a game on Sunday, Apr. 2, at 12:05 p.m. MT.
All three games will be streamed on ESPN+ and an audio-only broadcast on gouvu.com. Fans can view live stats on gouvu.com.
The Wolverines have won two straight after weather altered the scheduled three-game home series last weekend. UVU defeated Tarleton on Mar. 25, 7-6, in the lone game of the series.
Cole Jordan was 1-for-4 with a three-run jack, as the Texans allowed 13 walks in the game.

Patrick Mills each walked twice.
Burke Camper drew three free passes.
Logan Gerling picked up his fifth win of the season after throwing 5.2 innings, only allowing two earned runs.
Casey Anderson earned his first save of the season, going 2.0 innings on five punchouts.
Ethan Fowlks went 1.1 innings with two strikeouts.
On Tuesday, UVU defeated cross-county rival BYU. The Wolverines trailed 8-4 entering the bottom of the ninth before chipping away at the deficit and taking advantage of three Cougar errors.
Luke Iverson pinch-hit late and came up with a two-out single to secure the 9-8 win.
Trey Cutchen and
Brandon Luna knocked home two runs in two hit games for UVU.
Nick Sims held the Cougars scoreless in relief and recorded four outs, all via strikeout.
ABOUT THE LOPES
Grand Canyon enters this weekend with a 15-9 overall record and 6-3 in the WAC. The defending WAC Champions dropped a home series to Sam Houston in Phoenix last weekend. They are led by top draft prospect Jacob Wilson who is hitting .479 and Homer Bush Jr. who is hitting .438 on the season. Friday starter Zach Thornton is a two-time WAC Pitcher of the Week. GCU had Daniel Avita and Connor Markl who both were named to the Preseason All-WAC team.

Logan Gerling moved to 5-0 with his victory over Tarleton. He is five wins away from being in first all-time for a single season wins. Jeremy Glendlek and Marcus Moore currently hold the record with 10 wins in one season.

UVU head coach
Eddie Smith and GCU's head coach Gregg Wallis both wear jersey number 55. #55 has been worn by some Big Leaguers including retired Dodgers pitch Orel Hershiser. Former Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum, and slugger Albert Pujols wore 55 later in his career.

UVU has 10 triples on the season and averages 0.42 triples per game. The current stats put UVU in the top ranks in the country. The Wolverines are 14th in the country in triples and 16th in triples per game while being at the top of the conference. Southern California is the national leader with 19 triples and 0.79 triples per game.

Utah Valley will travel to Sacramento State for a three-game series on Apr. 6-8. After returning to the state of Utah, the Wolverines will play a home and home with Pac-12 foe Utah. Apr. 10's game will be played at Smith's Ballpark, with Utah coming to UCCU Ballpark on Apr. 11.
