OREM, Utah – Utah Valley baseball returns to the diamond Tuesday afternoon for a matinee against the Big 12's Utah Utes. First pitch from UCCU Ballpark is scheduled for 1 p.m. MT and is the first of three matchups against Utah, with the other two taking place in Salt Lake City.

Mason Strong set a new career high with six RBIs on Sunday, including his second career grand slam.
Utah Valley pitchers were led by
Jacob Heppner, who secured his second consecutive strong outing for UVU, going six innings against the Coyotes while allowing six hits and one earned run.
George Albrecht, in his first career start, set a career high with three innings pitched and three strikeouts Sunday.
SCOUTING UTAH
The Utes enter Tuesday afternoon's game with a 15-10 overall record and a 5-4 mark in the Big 12. After dropping the series opener against Kansas State, they rallied to win the series.
They are led offensively by Cameron Gurney, who is hitting .406 in 25 games this season with three home runs and 27 RBIs. Jake Long hit for the cycle this weekend against the Wildcats and is second on the team with a .392 average. He leads the team with six home runs and 32 RBIs.
