OREM, Utah – Utah Valley women's basketball returns home to host La Sierra on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 6 p.m. MT inside the UCCU Center. The contest marks UVU's second-to-last home nonconference game of the season.

LAST TIME OUT
Utah Valley defeated Kansas City, 64-58, on Saturday.
Kaylee Headrick recorded her first double-double of the season with 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead UVU past the Roos. Twelve of her points came in the second half.
Tessa Chaney finished in double figures for the eighth time this season and sixth straight game with 13 points.
Amanda Barcello knocked down a pair of clutch 3-pointers late and finished with 17 points, including five triples.
Cambree Blackham added a career-high nine assists.
SCOUTING LA SIERRA
The Golden Eagles are 2-5 this season and are coming off a 70-41 win over Stanton University on Saturday night. La Sierra competes in the Golden State Athletic Conference and shares league membership with Benedictine, whom the Wolverines defeated 74-34 last month. Yasmine Garrett and Naomie Munane are two players to watch offensively for La Sierra.

Tuesday's matchup marks the first meeting between the two programs. The Wolverines are 12-0 against non-Division I opponents under head coach
Dan Nielson. Utah Valley owns a 46-4 all-time record against non-Division I foes, including 36 consecutive wins.
HEADRICK WINS WAC NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK
Headrick recorded a double-double in Saturday's win at Kansas City, finishing with 18 points to tie a career high and a career-best 11 rebounds. The Bluffdale native was key in the second half, scoring 12 of her 18 points to help the Wolverines secure the road victory. The honor is the first WAC award for Headrick, who is in her first season with the program after stints at the College of Southern Idaho and Colorado State. She enters Tuesday's contest averaging 8.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.

Utah Valley will close out nonconference play by hosting Idaho State on Saturday, Dec. 20, for the Hoop for the Holiday game. Tipoff is scheduled for noon at the UCCU Center. The women's game will serve as the front end of a doubleheader, with the UVU men set to host Bethesda at 3 p.m. MT.
