Luke Kimmel came in and pitched the sixth and recorded a strikeout before finishing up a 1-2-3 inning to give the Wolverines offense a greater chance to cut into the lead in the bottom of the sixth, which they quickly did, starting with a leadoff walk from De Anda before Strong homered to left field to make it 10-5 BYU.
The Wolverines had two doubles in the contest, both coming from Massey, who finished 2-for-3 with an RBI in the seventh inning to score
Jayden Smith, who reached base three times in the game. He added a stolen base in the seventh to get into scoring position.

Iverson was hit for the 22
