GOODYEAR, Ariz.—Utah Valley sophomore Paxton Maxwell carded a 1-under-par 71 to lead the Wolverines during Monday's second round of the Loyola Intercollegiate at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona.

Maxwell is now tied for fourth place on the 119-player leaderboard with a two-round score of 8-under-par 136 (65-71) heading into Tuesday's final round. He sits just three strokes back of co-leaders Campbell Kerr of Grand Canyon and Carson Baez of Richmond, who lead the field at 11-under-par.

After firing a historic 7-under-par 65 to hold the first-round lead on Sunday, Maxwell recorded six birdies, seven pars, and five bogies during Monday's second round.

As a team, Utah Valley shot a 3-over-par 291 and is tied for 14th place on the 20-team leaderboard with a two-round score of 6-over-par 582 (291-291).

Ty Brady posted an even-par 72 and is tied for 65th place with a two-round score of 2-over-par 146 (74-72). Brady tallied five birdies during his second round.

Colby Hutchens carded a 1-under-par 71 and is tied for 89th place at 6-over-par 150 (79-71). Hutchens recorded four birdies on Monday.

Isaiah Ellis shot a 5-over-par 77 and is also tied for 89th place with a two-round score of 6-over-par 150 (73-77). Ellis registered five birdies in the second round.

JJ Tomsick recorded an 8-over-par 80 and sits in 116th place at 15-over-par 159 (79-80).
