SAN JACINTO, Calif.—Chloe Jang shot a 5-over-par 77 in Friday's final round of the Soboba Spring Classic to lead Utah Valley, finishing tied for 21st in the 58-player field at 20-over-par 236 (80-78-78).
Jang recorded 13 pars in her final round en route to the 77.
As a team, Utah Valley carded a 12-over-par 300 on Friday to finish tied for sixth on the 10-team leaderboard at 77-over-par 941 (331-310-300). CSU Northridge captured the team title at 37-over-par 901 (312-295-294).
Pati Uluave also posted a 5-over-par 77 in the final round to tie for 27th at 21-over-par 237 (82-78-77). Alyssa Butterfus matched that 21-over-par 237 total (83-81-73) after firing a 1-over-par 73 on Friday.
Valentina Zuleta closed with a 5-over-par 77 to tie for 32nd at 24-over-par 240 (83-80-77). Maria Ortiz turned in one of the team's best rounds of the day with a 1-over-par 73 to finish 40th at 26-over-par 242 (93-76-73).
CSUN's Nicole Tanoue earned medalist honors with an even-par 216 (72-71-73).
Utah Valley continues its spring season on Monday, Feb. 9 at the Mountain Classic Match Play at Monterey Country Club in Palm Desert, California.
