OREM, Utah – Utah Valley baseball is set to host (RV) Cincinnati in a two-game series beginning Monday night at UCCU Ballpark. The Wolverines have won eight of their last 10 games and will welcome a Power Four opponent for the first time since Washington State visited as a member of the Pac-12 Conference in 2023.
The series begins Monday, March 16, with a 5:35 p.m. MT first pitch and will serve as UVU's Family Night, where the first 100 fans will receive $1 hot dogs. Tuesday's game and series finale will begin at 11:05 a.m. MT.

The Wolverines defeated Colorado Mesa, 6-4, last Wednesday. The No. 4-ranked Mavericks in the Division II poll took an early lead, but the UVU arms of

Aaron Rice kept the team in the game.
The UVU offense took a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning with
Hunter Katschke's fourth home run in the last 10 games. The Wolverines added four more runs in the seventh inning with RBIs from
DJ Massey,
Mason Strong, and
Brody Block.
SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
Cincinnati enters Orem at 15-6 overall and 1-2 in the Big 12 after falling in its conference-opening series to BYU this past weekend. The Bearcats feature a strong offense, led by Quinton Coats, who is hitting .360 with 14 home runs and 36 RBIs this season.
Coats ranks second in the country in home runs with 14, just behind Georgia's Daniel Jackson. Cincinnati is eighth in the nation in total hits with 197 and has five players batting over .300 this season.
The Bearcats will start Dillon Schueler in Monday's contest. He is in his first season at Cincinnati after earning second-team All-Missouri Valley honors last season at Illinois-Chicago. His longest outing this season was 2 2/3 innings against UC San Diego, and he recorded four strikeouts against SEC opponent Auburn.

Utah Valley will hit the road this weekend to begin a four-game series at Stanford. The series begins on Saturday, Mar. 21, from The Farm and will feature a Sunday doubleheader before concluding Monday.
