LAST TIME OUT
The Wolverines have won seven of their last eight games, including taking four of five against Northern Colorado this past weekend. Utah Valley scored 45 runs in the weekend series, with Brody Block finishing 6-for-12 and scoring six runs. Hunter Katschke also turned in another strong weekend with a pair of home runs and seven RBIs to help UVU secure the series win. A total of six different hitters finished the series batting over .300.

On the mound, Quinn Holt delivered an outstanding outing, racking up nine strikeouts in Saturday's second game of the doubleheader. UVU's relievers also came up with key outs, including Cooper Littledike, who earned the win on Monday with 2 2/3 hitless innings to pick up his first victory of the season against the Bears.

SCOUTING COLORADO MESA
The Mavericks enter Wednesday riding a 17-game winning streak. Colorado Mesa is 18-2 overall, 4-0 in RMAC play and currently ranked No. 4 in the NCBWA Division II Top 25 poll.

Six different Mavericks hitters are batting over .300, led by Trevor Tse at .396 with two home runs and nine RBIs. Kolby Felix provides the power in the lineup, leading the team with five home runs and 21 RBIs, while Ezra Farmer paces the team with 23 RBIs.

Colorado Mesa is expected to start CJ Zwahlen, who will be making his first start of the season. In five appearances, Zwahlen is 0-0 with two saves. As a staff, the Mavericks have held opponents to fewer than four runs per game this season. With a conference series at CSU Pueblo this weekend, Wednesday could turn into a bullpen-style game for CMU.

SERIES HISTORY VS. COLORADO MESA
Utah Valley and Colorado Mesa will meet for the first time since the 2004 season on Wednesday. The Mavericks swept that four-game series in Grand Junction. The two teams have faced each other in fall ball more recently, but those contests do not count toward official records.

UP NEXT
The Wolverines will wrap up their homestand with a two-game series beginning Monday night against Big 12 opponent Cincinnati. The Bearcats are 13-4 this season and have been receiving votes in the NCBWA polls.
