MCKINNEY, Texas — Chloe Jang recorded a top-10 individual finish to lead the Utah Valley University women's golf team as the Wolverines wrapped up the 2025-26 season with a sixth-place showing at the 2026 WAC Women's Golf Championship on Tuesday at The Hills Course at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club.
Utah Valley finished the 54-hole event at 58-over-par 922 after rounds of 298, 311 and 313. Tarleton State claimed the team title at 25-over-par 889, while Abilene Christian finished second at 36-over-par 900.
Jang paced the Wolverines by tying for eighth overall at 9-over-par 225 after rounds of 72, 74 and 79. Maria Ortiz also turned in a strong championship performance, finishing 11th at 10-over-par 226 with rounds of 76, 74 and 76.
Valentina Zuleta tied for 22nd at 19-over-par 235, while Pati Uluave tied for 23rd at 20-over-par 236. Rylie Rodriguez rounded out the UVU lineup in 33rd at 33-over-par 249.
The WAC Championship concludes the 2025-26 campaign for the Wolverines, who recorded multiple strong performances throughout the spring season and advanced to conference championship play for the final time as members of the Western Athletic Conference. Utah Valley will officially join the Big West Conference beginning July 1, 2026.
