Biography

At Utah Valley...
SENIOR ~ (2015-16): (INDOOR) Taylor was crowned the WAC 200m dash champion and earned the UVU indoor 200m school record with a time of 21.07 seconds...earned second place in the 60m dash by .01 second.... first team All-WAC honoree... (OUTDOOR) Two time WAC Athlete of the Week honoree....broke 200m school record at Utah Spring Classic (20.74 seconds)...broke school record one week later at Mt. SAC Relays (20.65 seconds), winning the prestigious event... qualified to Texas Relays in the 100m, 4x100m, 4x400m... helped UVU's 4x100m relay team set school record at BYU invite (40.40 seconds)....At the WAC Championships, Taylor claimed the 100m title, the 200m title, and the 4x100m title, earning the sprinting trifecta... his winning 100m race finally delivered Taylor the 100m school record (10.18 seconds)... Taylor advanced through the quarterfinals at the NCAA Western Preliminary Rounds and qualified for the semifinals in Eugene, Oregon. 

JUNIOR/REDSHIRT ~ (2014-15): (INDOOR) Redshirted the indoor campaign. (OUTDOOR) 2015 WAC Champion in the 100m dash while battling an injured hamstring... Raced minimally to prepare for NCAA Western Preliminary Rounds where he qualified for the third time... Taylor was the first sprinter to qualify for the quarterfinals since 2010, and then just missed out on qualifying for the semifinals and the national stage in Eugene, Oregon as he finished No. 16 in the West with a career best time of 10.32 seconds. 
JUNIOR/REDSHIRT ~ (2014): (INDOOR) 2014 WAC Champion in the 60m dash as he won the event at the WAC Indoor Championships with a time of 6.84 seconds ... also named First Team All-WAC in the 200m dash after placing second in race with a time of 21.57 ... won the 60 (6.89), 200 (21.47) and 4x400m relay (3:22.90) at the Jackson's Open and Multis ... also won the 200 (21.66) and 4x400m relay (3:18.16) at the Snake River Open ... (OUTDOOR) redshirted the outdoor campaign. 

SOPHOMORE ~ (2013): (INDOOR) Placed second in both the 60 and 200m dashes at the Great West Conference Indoor Championships with respective times of 6.86 and 21.77 ... won the 300m dash (34.91) and placed third in the 60 (6.78) at the BYU Cougar Indoor Invitational ... took third in the 200 (21.75) and fourth in the 60 (6.84) at the Bronco Classic ... (OUTDOOR) NCAA Qualifier for the second time in the 200m ... placed 36th in the 200m at the NCAA West Prelims with a time of 21.62 ... won the 200m (21.62w), won the 4x100m relay (41.72), placed second in the 100m (10.54w) and second in the 4x400m relay (3:17.51) at the GWC Outdoor Championships ... set the school record in the 4x100m relay at the UVU Collegiate as his relay team won the race in a time of 40.78 ... won the 200m (21.31) and placed second in the 100m (10.63) at the Utah Spring Classic ... won the 200m (21.31) and took second in the 100m (10.57) at the BYU Robison Invitational. 

FRESHMAN ~ (2012): (INDOOR) Finished second in the 60m (6.85) at the Great West Conference Championships ... Placed third in the 55m (6.51) at the Wildcat Open ... Finished second in the 200m (22.02) at the Bronco Invitational ... Placed third int he 60m (6.92) at the BYU Invitational. (OUTDOOR) Advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds in the 200m and 100m and placed 33rd (21.48) and 30th (10.47w) in the preliminaries ... Finished second in the 200m (21.22w) and 100m (10.47) at the Great West Conference Championships ... Placed second in the 4x400 (3:16.82) and fourth in the 4x100 (42.26) at the Great West Conference Championships ... Placed second in the 100m (10.62w) at the UVU/SUU Dual ... Finished second in the 100m (11.22) at the UVU/USU Dual ... Placed fourth in the 100m (10.94) at the UVU Collegiate ... Place third in the 4x100 (41.85) at the UVU Collegiate.

Before Utah Valley...
Was the 2010 district champion in the 200m and took second in the 4 x 100m...Was a region qualifier in the 200m...Set a school record in the 4 x 100m (41.80...Was the 2011 district champion in the 100m and took second in the 200m...Holds the school record in the 200m (21.65)...Received the Steve Bledsoe High Point Award at the Brown Relays after winning 100m and 200m and setting a record in the 4 x 400m (3:20.35).
